How is Plantnode better at providing OEE figures over my manual system?

If you are collecting data manually for measuring OEE and then feeding the figures into a standalone program or spread-sheet then Plantnode offers many advantages:

• Manual data collection may be inaccurate as the primary focus of the operator is to get the machine running again – often information written on forms is not accurate because it is done ‘later’.
• The actual act of writing down the data at an appropriate time (so it is accurate) may even affect your OEE – rather than getting the machine working quickly the focus is on data collection.
• The results are presented in real-time. At best a manual system will be some hours behind the time the data is collected whilst if you see a degradation of OEE (which can be shown through a web browser or on the overhead LED display) action can be taken immediately to fix the issues that may be causing the problem.
